DattoCon 2017 in Denver was a blast! This was Datto's 5th annual partner conference and with over 1000 attendees it's starting to be a must-attend event in the IT / MSP Channel. A Big THANK YOU to the Datto team for stepping up the game and throwing a great event!
A major theme @ DattoCon this year is simplifying the amount of work needed to deploy quasi-advanced solutions without the major time burn. As the industry continues to key in an automation and customer experience Datto is right there trying to take things that otherwise are painful at time sand making easy to consume and deploy solutions. It's a lesson that everyone should really start taking for face value rather than think it's just a marketing pitch or some unattainable goal!
That is the message MSP's pitch their solutions with to prospective customers right? The truth is sometimes it is hard and sometimes it isn't. The point is if you can't properly articulate or show your customer that you are constantly providing value it can very easily become "out of sight, out of mind". Concentrate on sales and marketing, account management, and customer experience is another lesson to be taken from DattoCon. There seem to be a ton of resources available to help with this as vendors continue to try and help their channel partners (YOU) become more visible and do more to expand and grow your businesses.
