More info: To bypass the impact, users can enable the modern experience in SharePoint Online to access sites. Current status: Our mitigation script is taking longer than expected to deploy, but continues to make progress. We estimate that this fix will complete deployment and remediate impact by Tuesday, September 28, 2021, 5:30 PM (9:30 PM UTC) . Scope of impact: Impact is specific to some users who are served through the affected infrastructure. Estimated time to resolve: The issue is forecasted to be resolved by Tuesday, September 28, 2021, 5:30 PM (9:30 PM UTC) . Root cause: A recent update contained a configuration change that inadvertently resulted in impact.

Title: Some users may experience multiple Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) issues in Microsoft Teams User Impact: Users may experience multiple issues with the PSTN service in Microsoft Teams. More info: Users may encounter multiple impacts, including but not limited to: Users may be unable to acquire new phone numbers within the service or via Azure Access Control Service (AACS) while impact is ongoing. Users may be unable to receive inbound PSTN calls or outbound calls may fail to connect. Users may be unable to input menu options utilizing DTMF. This impacts auto attendant, call queues and conferencing join. Users may be unable to pull other users into conferences. Users my experience audio issues such as mid-call drops, disconnects, or being unable to hear users on the call. Users may be unable to receive number assignments. This also impacts port requests as well as port requests status updates. Current status: We've received reports that some users are still encountering intermittent impact. Our PSTN carrier service has taken additional mitigation actions targeting the remaining impact scenarios, and we're continuing to monitor the environment until the issue is fully resolved. Scope of impact: This issue affects enterprise voice customers and some users making inbound PSTN, auto attendant, and conference calls. This doesn't affect users that use direct routing. Start time: Monday, September 27, 2021, 12:30 PM (4:30 PM UTC) Root cause: An issue affecting our PSTN carrier service has resulted in intermittent impact to users' ability to utilize certain functions in the Microsoft Teams calling service.

More info: This issue is specific to the Microsoft Teams Windows desktop client. Current status: We've completed verification of our fix via targeted release to a portion of affected users and are proceeding with broad deployment of the fix after receiving positive feedback. Currently the fix has deployed to approximately 25 percent of the affected environment, and we're planning a staged rollout which, barring setbacks, will push deployment to 50 percent by Monday, September 27, 75 percent by Tuesday, September 28, and 100 percent by Wednesday, September 29. We're monitoring the progress of the fix as it continues to saturate throughout the affected environment. Scope of impact: Your organization is affected by this event, and intermittently impacts some users attempting to join or already connected to Microsoft Teams meetings. Start time: Monday, June 7, 2021, 3:00 AM (7:00 AM UTC) Estimated time to resolve: We anticipate deployment completion, and impact mitigation, by Wednesday, September 29, 2021. Root cause: A recent update introduced a code issue or other regression that impacted the functionality of the native renderer, resulting in impact.

Final status: We performed scale up activities on the underlying infrastructure to mitigate the issue. We've also confirmed with impacted customers that the issue is now resolved for them. Scope of impact: This issue specifically impacted customers who use on-premises Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) servers to connect to Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) or Network Policy Server (NPS). Cloud Authentication was not impacted. Start time: Tuesday, September 28, 2021, 9:15 AM (1:15 PM UTC) End Time: Tuesday, September 28, 2021, 1:20 PM (5:20 PM UTC) Preliminary Root Cause: Work continues to fully identify the underlying root cause and will be published as a part of the Post Incident Report. A post-incident report will be provided for this issue within 5 days.
