As promised, we are continuing to highlight new portions of our partner portal. If you missed our first post please check out this link which explains how to login into the partner portal (and why not take another oppurtunity to thank our friends from DeskDirector while we are at it!).
So what is this whole status thing about? Very simply we are putting our best foot forwarded to be transparent with our partners about system status, uptime, and maintenance windows. The better that our partners are aware of things the better you can communicate with your customers and be proative rather than reactive. We will also do our best to report known issues with some of our reccomended providers via this system (even though they should be notifying you too!)
So how do you get access? First things first, make sure you have read the article noted above about about how to get access to the partner portal.
Once you are logged into the partner portal simply navigate to "Support & Infrastructure" and then select "BVoIP Infrastructure Status".
Here is an idea of what this system looks like. We break down system by layer and then by region and even put a nice little map in there for you too! Maintenance alerts and windows are at the bottom of the page (not seen in this screen capture).
Next steps are to click on the "subscribe" button on the upper right hand corner of the screen and simply enter the email address that you want notices sent to and then click on "subscribe" and we will automatically send you updates of status changes and maintenance windows. Yes you can enter more than one email address if you need to keep other memebers of your team in the loop.
Maintenance
Do note that we do send out multiple notices leading up to planned events so that you don't miss a single notice. We then notify you once a planned event is completed.
Impairments
For service impairments or any sort of system degredation we will notify you in as close to real-time as possible.
