Cloud PBX Feature Highlight - Automatic Call Park Pickup

Another lesser known available feature with BVoIP’s Cloud PBX offering is automatic parked call pickup.This feature is helpful in making sure calls that are parked don't get forgotten leaving someone "on hold" for a longer period of time.

Enabling Automatic Park Pickup

This is as easy as a check box but then you need to decide how long should a call be parked before the system reacts as well as where does that parked call go. You can see a fairly straight forward list of options to choose from in the photo above.

 

Things to consider:

  • Whatever you choose from a routing standpoint applied to every user on the phone system and can not changed for a subset of users. 
  • If you are sharing a single PBX instance with multiple entities you need to carefully consider this option. 
  • If you have multiple locations sharing the same PBX instance you also need to carefully consider this option.
  • If you have multiple operators or receptionists you need to carefully consider this option.
